Snow Depth Probe - Extensions

Snow depth probes are designed for field use. The probes are made from aluminum tubing for light weight with stainless steel tips and connectors. Probes assemble with set screws in 100 cm (1 m) sections and can be used on almost any depth found in seasonal snowpacks in any snow climate. We have measured snow up to 14 m deep with this system. The probes are marked in 1 cm increments, with numbers every 10 cm. Graduations are the same on both the tip section and the extensions.
